Bill Markve & Associates of Dakota Dunes has purchased majority ownership of Williams Insurance in Sioux Falls. BM&A also recently acquired Dakota Insurance Agency of Milbank. BM&A, which offers a full line of insurance and investment products, is one of the largest locally owned, independent insurance firms in South Dakota and the Midwest. The company is based in Dakota Dunes and also has an office in Webster. “For the past 25 to 30 years, we have built a strong presence and client base throughout the state of South Dakota and the Midwest,” said Bill Markve, president and chief executive officer. Effective Oct. 1, Bill Markve will become CEO and chairman of Williams. Greg Heineman will continue to operate Williams as president of the firm. Heineman said he is excited for Williams’ clientele. “Mr. Markve and I have the same business philosophies and ideals. I am looking forward to working side by side with Bill to offer our clients a more dynamic insurance and investment firm,” Heineman said.
